Paul Blomfield MP: Chair
Paul Blomfield is the Labour MP for Sheffield Central, which is the largest student constituency in the UK. Before being elected to Parliament in 2010, he worked at the University of Sheffield, and was most recently General Manager of the students’ union.
In Parliament, Paul Blomfield sits on the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee, which scrutinises the government’s plans, policies and expenditure on higher and further education. He is also Secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Universities Group.
Alison Thewliss MP: Vice Chair
Alison Thewliss is the SNP MP for Glasgow Central, elected in the 2015 General Election. Before being elected, Alison Thewliss was a councillor for Calton Ward in Glasgow. Caroline Lucas MP: Vice Chair
Since 2010, Caroline Lucas has been Green party MP for Brighton Pavilion, and was the Leader of the Green Party from 2008 to 2012. An active campaigner for LGBT rights, she is deputy chair of the Parliamentary Friends of the Kaleidoscope Trust Group. She is also a member of the Environmental Audit Committee.
Lord Willetts: Vice Chair
Lord Willetts was MP for Havant from 1992-2015 before receiving a life peerage. He served as Minister for Universities and Science between 2010-2014. Lord Willetts is Chair of the British Science Association, Trustee director of the Francis Crick Institute, Honorary President of the International Student Foundation and Chancellor of the University of Leicester.

Robin Walker is the Conservative MP for Worcester. He was elected in 2010 and has served as a Minister of State for School Standards as well as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at both the Scotland Office and Northern Ireland Office.
